Federal University Lafia Staff, Solomon Umbugadu Mari, Laid to Rest in Akwanga

The community came together to bid a tearful farewell to Solomon Umbugadu Mari, a staff member of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), who tragically passed away on Monday, June 25, 2024, at the age of 36.

Solomon, who worked in the office of the Registrar, met his untimely death in a ghastly motor accident in Owo, Ondo State, while en route to Lagos State for a training program at the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON).

The funeral service, held in Akwanga, was attended by mourners who gathered to pay their respects to the deceased. Solomon is survived by his wife, Ayiku, mother, Mary, and several brothers and sisters.
The university community and beyond mourn the loss of Solomon, whose sudden departure has left a void in the lives of those who knew him.
May his soul rest in peace.
