Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University Implements New Guidelines for Sign-Out Celebrations
JOSTUM has prohibited specific activities during this year's sign-out celebrations while maintaining the tradition.
Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University (JOSTUM) has announced new regulations for this year's sign-out celebrations. The adjustments come in response to past celebrations that resulted in security challenges, particularly during the final examinations of graduating students
The university administration has outlined several prohibited activities for this year's sign-out event:
1. Use of Musical Instruments and Public Address Systems: To maintain a controlled environment, the use of any musical instruments or public address systems will not be permitted during the celebrations.
2. Alcoholic Drinks: The consumption of alcoholic beverages is strictly banned at all sign-out events to promote a safe and responsible celebration.
3. Procession/Motorcade: The traditional practice of organizing motorcades or processions as part of the sign-out celebrations has been suspended.
4. Disruptive Jamboree: Any form of disruptive celebrations that could cause disturbances or security concerns will not be tolerated.
Despite these prohibitions, the university has confirmed that the sign-out itself remains a significant event, and students are encouraged to participate within the new guidelines.
These changes aim to foster a safe and orderly environment as the academic year draws to a close. JOSTUM officials are hopeful that these measures will prevent any security incidents and allow students to celebrate their achievements in a respectful and secure manner.
