According to a memo dated December 20, 2024, the outbreak has been present in the town for the past two weeks, and the university is taking proactive measures to prevent the spread of the disease.
The memo, signed by Dr. M.D. Yusuf, Director of Health Services, urges members of the community to maintain strict hygiene to prevent contracting the disease. It advises anyone experiencing symptoms such as diarrhea and vomiting to promptly report to the University Clinic.
