Federal University of Lafia Appoints Deans for New Faculties

The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has announced the appointment of deans for its newly established faculties following the unbundling of the former Faculty of Science. Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, the Vice-Chancellor, has approved the appointments.

Professor Matthew Aremu has been appointed as the Dean, with Dr. Aisha Ademoh Bello serving as the Deputy Dean.

Professor Ibrahim Khalil Adam has been appointed as the Dean, with Dr. Mojisola Owoseni serving as the Deputy Dean.

The unbundling of the former Faculty of Science resulted in the creation of two new faculties:

Comprising the departments of Biochemistry, Microbiology, Zoology, Plant Science & Biotechnology, and Science Laboratory Technology.

 Comprising the departments of Physics, Statistics, Chemistry, Geology, and Mathematics.

The appointments were announced in a statement issued by the Registrar, Malam Nuradeen Abdu, following the Governing Council's approval of the unbundling during its 23rd Regular Meeting on June 19, 2025.
