Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE) Vice-Chancellor Warns Against Social Vices at 13th Matriculation Ceremony

In a stern address at the 13th matriculation ceremony of the Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE), Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina, the Vice-Chancellor, emphasized the university's commitment to maintaining a zero-tolerance policy against social vices. Addressing the gathering, which included dignitaries and royal figures, Prof. Fasina urged the newly admitted students to refrain from engaging in cultism and other undesirable behaviors.

During the ceremony, where over 7,377 students pledged allegiance to the university, Prof. Fasina stressed that the institution would not hesitate to take strict actions against any student found guilty of heinous vices. He made it clear that the university, under his leadership, would not handle such cases lightly.

Congratulating the matriculating students, Prof. Fasina described them as "very fortunate," highlighting that only a fraction of over 50,000 candidates were deemed eligible for admission into the rapidly growing institution. Despite celebrating the achievement of the newly admitted students, the Vice-Chancellor issued a stern warning against various social vices, including cultism, sexual harassment, advance fee fraud, internet fraud, and examination malpractice.

He declared, "Our university has zero tolerance for these and other related social vices." The call to shun these behaviors reflects the university's commitment to fostering a safe and conducive learning environment for its student body.
