Fedpoly Damaturu Rector Visits FEDPODAM Radio Station, Appoints Governing Board

The Rector of Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, Dr. Ibrahim Bashir Bello, recently visited FEDPODAM Radio, the polytechnic-owned radio station, as part of his familiarization and assessment tour since assuming office.

During his visit, Dr. Bello expressed concerns about the delay in installing necessary equipment and accessories to commence transmission. He directed the Deputy Rector Administration, Information and Public Relations Officer, Director of Procurement, and the contractor to expedite the process and put the necessary administrative and technical mechanisms in place.

The Rector is optimistic that once the radio station begins transmission, it will enhance teaching and learning at the institution.

In a related development, Dr. Bello has approved the constitution of the Governing Board of FEDPODAM Radio. The board members include:

- Chairman: Dr. Ibrahim Babale Gashua, Deputy Rector Administration

- Radio Manager: Chief Technologist Shuaibu Modu Fika

- Members:

    - Muhammad Nura Nguru, Polytechnic Public Relations Officer

    - Abdulkareem Bashir Bello, Head, Department of Mass Communication

    - Hadiza Adamu, Lecturer, Department of Mass Communication

The appointments take immediate effect .
