In a strong display of commitment to education and student safety, Comrade Asefon, a representative of the Federal Government, has assured Alex Ekwueme Federal University of significant security improvements on campus. During a visit to the university, Comrade Asefon outlined a range of measures that will bolster the safety and security of students and faculty, as well as improve the overall campus environment.

Key components of the Federal Government's commitment include the Safe Schools Initiative and the Students' Loan Scheme, both designed to create safe learning spaces and improve access to education. The Safe Schools Initiative will encompass constructing a perimeter fence around the university, installing CCTV cameras for surveillance, and implementing solar streetlights to increase visibility at night, all aimed at enhancing campus security.

To address transportation challenges, Comrade Asefon announced that the Federal Government will provide CNG (compressed natural gas) buses to university campuses, offering students a more affordable and sustainable transportation option.
