Fire Incident Contained at Federal University Dutse

A fire outbreak occurred at the Morocco Hostel, also known as Coppers' Lodge, at the Federal University Dutse (FUD) today, caused by a faulty gas cylinder.

Thanks to the swift response of the fire services, the situation was brought under control, and no casualties were recorded. However, some student belongings were damaged in the incident.

University officials and the Students' Union Government (SUG) were present at the scene to provide support to affected students. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and authorities have assured students and staff of their commitment to safety measures to prevent similar incidents in the future .
