"I didn't want to attend my school then," she recalled. "I was patiently waiting for the next JAMB to write. I wanted to go to a university, not a college of education."

Despite Alvan Ikoku College of Education being affiliated with the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), where she would ultimately receive a UNN certificate, she harbored doubts and aimed for a different educational institution.

However, after her first semester exams, she registered for JAMB but didn't follow through, guided by an inner conviction that there was more to be gained by staying. This decision was reaffirmed when she achieved a remarkable 4.8 GPA that semester, solidifying her resolve to maximize her current opportunities.

"My mom would always tell me to take the little you have and develop/multiply and make the best out of it," she shared. Encouraged by her early academic success, she committed herself to excel within the college environment, leveraging every opportunity for growth.

Her perseverance paid off as she graduated with a first-class degree, achieved certification as a teacher, and became a chartered accountant. Alongside her professional successes, she found love and married the love of her life, affirming that staying true to her path at Alvan Ikoku College was one of the best decisions she ever made.

"Today, I can beat my chest to say that it was one of the best decisions of my life," she proudly stated. "Even though I am a professional accountant, I am an advocate for education."
