Former student union leaders, accompanied by government officials, made a surprise visit to Lagos State University (LASU), pledging support for tertiary education.
Former student union leaders, Comr. Ashade Abdulbasit Ademurewa Ashade and Comr. Ogunsanya Rasheed, SSA to the Lagos state Governor on Student Union Matters, Kappo Samuel Olawale accompanied by members of the governor's office, made a surprise visit to Lagos State University (LASU). The visit aimed to strengthen ties between the government and educational institutions, emphasizing the state's commitment to enhancing tertiary education in Lagos.

The visit, which occurred during a return journey from a working visit to Lagos State University of Education, Oto-Ijanikin, was met with warm reception by LASU's student union leaders, including LASUSU President, Comrade Haroun Tobun, and other executives. Senior officers of the university also welcomed the delegation.
During an interactive session held at the university auditorium, Comr. Ashade emphasized the significance of collaboration between the state government and educational institutions. He highlighted the government's efforts to address challenges faced by tertiary institutions, particularly in infrastructure development and student welfare.
