Mr. Johnson Adebiyi, the newly-appointed State Coordinator of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in Gombe State, recently paid a courtesy visit to Mallam Mohammed Shettima, the Honorable Commissioner for Higher Education, Gombe State. The visit aimed to reinforce the collaboration between JAMB and the State Government in advancing higher education initiatives.

The courtesy call, held on June 26 at the Ministry of Higher Education in GRA, Gombe, focused on enhancing the partnership between JAMB and the Gombe State Government, particularly in the realm of higher education. Mr. Adebiyi emphasized the importance of fostering closer ties to facilitate the smooth execution of JAMB's educational programs within the state.

"In his remarks, the State Coordinator disclosed that the visit was part of efforts to consolidate on the relationship between the Board and the State Government, particularly in the area of higher education."

During the meeting, Mr. Adebiyi proposed the establishment of a Mega Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centre in Gombe State. This initiative aims not only to enhance the ICT skills of students but also to stimulate the growth of small-scale enterprises in the region.
