In a significant act of philanthropy, Prince (Dr) Samuel Adedoyin, CEO of Doyin Investment Limited, has donated a state-of-the-art ICT building to Lagos State University (LASU). The donation was officially handed over to LASU's Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, during a visit by university officials to Prince Adedoyin’s office on Lagos Island on Monday, May 20, 2024.

Prince Adedoyin explained that his motivation for the donation stemmed from his desire to give back in gratitude for the blessings he has received. "I wanted to give back in appreciation of what God has done in my life," he said, recounting his journey from humble beginnings to significant achievements.

Prof. Olatunji-Bello expressed profound gratitude for the donation, highlighting its potential to enhance the university's ICT services. "This generous donation is something we are immensely grateful for," she remarked. She also announced that Prince Adedoyin would receive an honorary degree during LASU's 27th Convocation Ceremony, scheduled from May 30 to June 6, 2024.

Prof. Toyin Enikuomehin, Director of the Directorate of ICT at LASU, praised the timely contribution, noting that the university has embraced digital and hybrid teaching methods. He assured that the new facility would be utilized to its fullest potential, significantly benefiting the university’s technological capabilities.

This donation marks a noteworthy contribution to LASU, reflecting Prince Adedoyin's commitment to educational development and technological advancement.
