In a related development, JAMB is set to issue customized SIM cards to candidates registering for the 2024/2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). This initiative, in partnership with the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC), aims to address the frequent issue of stolen or missing Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) cards.

JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, announced that the customized SIMs will be exclusively used for UTME registration and will be accessible to parents with a validity of five years. Prof. Oloyede expressed confidence that this measure will resolve many of the problems associated with candidates' registration.
