Franco-British International University to Commence Academic Activities in October 2024

The Franco-British International University, Kaduna, Nigeria's first university with both British and French academic styles, is set to begin academic activities in October 2024. This announcement was made by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Abdullahi Muhammad Sabo, during a press briefing on Monday.

According to Professor Sabo, the university will launch its academic programs with three schools: the School of Computing, the School of Nursing, and the School of Health Sciences.

In a recent statement during the visit of Professor Armayau Hamisu Bichi, Vice Chancellor of Federal University Dutsin-Ma, Professor Gwarzo expressed his deep commitment to advancing education in Africa. He described the Franco-British International University as an effort to deliver truly world-class education to the continent.

The university received its provisional operational license from the National Universities Commission (NUC) in 2023, alongside the Canadian University of Nigeria, also part of the MAAUN group of universities.

Professor Gwarzo emphasized his dedication to maintaining high standards, discipline, and morality among the students and staff of the Franco-British International University, mirroring the values upheld at his other institutions in Niger and Kano.
