The Federal University Lokoja (FUL) hosted its 9th Distinguished Public Lecture, which featured a compelling discourse delivered by Barrister (Hon.) Zainab Marwa-Abubakar, PhD. The lecture, titled "Addressing the Intersectionality of Poverty and Gender in North-Central Nigeria," delved into the complex relationship between poverty and gender inequality in the region. 

The event, covered by the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), highlighted the socio-economic challenges faced by women in North-Central Nigeria and proposed actionable solutions for addressing these issues. The lecture served as a platform to foster dialogue on how gender-based disparities contribute to poverty and hinder development.
