FUL VC Receives National President Of NIP

National President of the Nigerian Institute of Physics (NIP) received at FUL by the VC along with the NIP Liaison Officer.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi received the National President of the Nigerian Institute of Physics (NIP), Professor J. O. Coker, FNIP & COMEG, along with the NIP Liaison Officer, Mr.Adamu Hassan of the National Agency for Science & Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), Abuja; Professor Tajudeen Oladele Ahmed, Head, Department of Physics, FULokoja; and the newly elected Chairman, Kogi State NIP Chapter, Dr. Enock Oluwole Oladimeji of the Department of Physics, FULokoja following the inauguration of the Kogi State NIP Chapter with FUL chosen as the State Secretariat.

The historic event which took place at the auditorium, College of Health Sciences, FUL, had in attendance representatives from 10 higher Institutions of Learning in Kogi State. 

The State Chapter of NIP was inaugurated with the focus of taking NIP to the grassroots where all Physics teachers in Kogi State will be involved in activities such as seminars, colloquia, workshops, train-the-trainers' workshops, etc. targeted at creating awareness on the subject of Physics and capacity building for teachers and students in Kogi State.
