FULAFIA Economics Department Emphasizes Importance of Lecturer-Student Relationship in Academic Excellence
The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) Economics Department recently organized its Second Departmental Academic Forum, where the Head of Department, Dr. Walter O. Ugwuoke, stressed that students' academic performance is crucial in determining the quality of their relationship with lecturers.
Dr. Ugwuoke advised students to foster positive relationships with lecturers, warning that strained relationships can hinder academic success and overall life achievements.
The forum featured a paper presentation by Dr. Freeman Aye-Agele, titled "Student-Lecturer Relationship: A Guide for Academic Excellence," which highlighted the importance of relationships in creating a conducive learning environment, enhancing academic performance, and providing guidance and counseling.
The event concluded with an award presentation to Dr. Aye-Agele, recognizing his contributions to the department's development.
