FULafia Provost Charges Medical Students to Remain Dedicated

The Provost of the College of Medicine, Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Ali Ishaq Shugaba, has advised medical students to remain dedicated, focused, and smart as they begin their clinical training. Shugaba gave this charge during the maiden orientation exercise for clinical students of FULafia held at the Federal University Teaching Hospital, Lafia (FUTHL).

The Provost emphasized the importance of taking academic and clinical responsibilities seriously and participating in all hospital activities under the supervision of qualified medical personnel. He commended the collaboration between FULafia and FUTHL, noting its positive impact on the training of medical students.

Other notable speakers at the event included Prof. Ishaku Ara Bako, Dr. Aboje Aboje, and Mrs. Helen Kwakipi, who highlighted the importance of proper documentation, infection control, and personal hygiene in medical practice. The orientation featured lectures by seasoned medical professionals on various topics, including the MBBS programme overview, managing stress, and basic infection prevention and control measures.
