FULOKOJA Warns Against Unauthorized Use of Its Name and Logo for Online Activities

Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA) has issued a stern warning against unauthorized use of its name or acronyms for online activities, emphasizing strict disciplinary actions for offenders. According to Section 11 subsection 3 of the Student Handbook (2021-2026), any student, group, or association must obtain proper authorization before using "Federal University Lokoja,"FULOKOJA"," or its logo in any media outlet, online or published. Violators will face the Senate Student Disciplinary Committee and potential rustication.

Furthermore, Section 12 subsection 4 viii and ix outline sanctions for using social media platforms to publish defamatory articles or incite discord within the university community. Offenders found guilty under these clauses risk expulsion following proceedings by the Senate Student Disciplinary Committee.

The University Management strongly condemns activities such as creating unauthorized social media pages or groups using FUL's identity, with intentions ranging from defaming the university's reputation to engaging in fraudulent practices, including misleading the public or scamming applicants. Such actions will result in severe consequences as the university vows to uphold its integrity and protect its community from misinformation and dishonest practices.

Students are urged to familiarize themselves with the Student Handbook available for download on the university's official website. They are also encouraged to report any suspicious or fraudulent online platforms bearing FUL's identity to the University Management.
