The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta has approved the reappointment of Iyabode Kehinde as Dean of its College of Biosciences (COLBIOS) for a second term.
The decision reinforces the institution’s confidence in her leadership, administrative capacity, and commitment to strengthening academic standards within the College.
The approval was granted by the Vice-Chancellor, Babatunde Kehinde, following a formal recommendation by the COLBIOS College Board, in line with the university’s procedures for appointing academic leaders.
The appointment letter was signed by the Registrar, Titus Adeniyi. The College Board had earlier re-elected Kehinde unopposed, securing 57 affirmative votes with no dissent.
Her renewed tenure took effect on April 1, 2026, and will run until March 31, 2029.
The university said the reappointment reflects its recognition of Kehinde’s capacity to provide strategic academic direction, drive innovation, and sustain the growth of the College. It also signals continued confidence in the progress recorded under her leadership, particularly in teaching, research, and community engagement.
