FUNAAB Student Oladeji Ayodele Secures Prestigious Chinese Government Scholarship
Oladeji Olaide Ayodele, a student from the Department of Crop Protection at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has been awarded the Chinese Government Scholarship for a PhD in Plant Pathology at Northwest A&F University, Shaanxi, China. His scholarship covers all expenses from September 2024 to July 2028.
Mr. Oladeji Olaide Ayodele, a distinguished student from the Department of Crop Protection at the College of Plant Science and Crop Production (COLPLANT), Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has been awarded the prestigious Chinese Government Scholarship to pursue a PhD in Plant Pathology at Northwest A&F University, Shaanxi, China.
Ayodele, who has commenced his studies in China, will benefit from a comprehensive scholarship package covering tuition, accommodation, medical insurance, and a living allowance throughout his PhD program, which spans from September 2024 to July 2028.
The scholarship highlights Ayodele’s exemplary academic achievements and dedication, evidenced by his impressive research project titled "Effect of Rock Dust and Poultry Manure on Nematodes Associated With Watermelon [Citrullus lanatus (THUNB.)] in Organic Field." This project, supervised by Prof. Jonathan Atungwu, the immediate past Dean of COLPLANT, underscores Ayodele's commitment to advancing his field of study.
