The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Professor Babatunde Kehinde, has restated the University’s dedication to providing top-tier educational facilities that foster holistic learning and serve a broad spectrum of users beyond its core academic programmes.

Prof. Kehinde made the remarks today, January 26, 2026, while receiving Mrs. Toyin Omoniwa, Assistant Chief Education Officer of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), who was on an official inspection visit to the University.

According to the Vice-Chancellor, FUNAAB’s development initiatives are intentionally designed to ensure that students from diverse disciplines, both within and outside the University, as well as members of the host community, have access to facilities that enrich learning experiences beyond their primary fields of study.

He emphasized the University’s commitment to holistic education, highlighting ongoing efforts to create an environment that supports academic excellence, leadership development, and innovation. Prof. Kehinde added that FUNAAB will continue to expand and upgrade its facilities to meet growing demand and extend benefits across the entire University community.

During the exit meeting, Mrs. Omoniwa expressed satisfaction with the inspections. She explained that her visit focused on assessing procurement processes for projects funded under TETFund’s 2023 and 2024 intervention disbursements at the Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies (CENTS). She noted that the exercise aligns with TETFund’s statutory oversight responsibilities to ensure transparency, accountability, and effective utilisation of intervention funds.

Also in attendance were Prof. Sakiru Akinbode, Director of CENTS; Dr. Oluwagbemiga Adeleye, Ag. Director of the Directorate of Research, Innovations and Partnerships (DRIP); Dr. Abiodun Oyelakin, Deputy Director of CENTS; and Mrs. Oluwayemisi Arigbede, Principal Assistant Registrar (DRIP).
