The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Prof Babatunde Kehinde, has reaffirmed his commitment to leading the University with the fear of God, inclusiveness and collective responsibility, assuring that fairness and accessibility remain central to his administration.

Prof Kehinde gave the assurance on Friday, 23 January 2026, while addressing the University Muslim Community shortly after the Jumat Service held at the University Mosque, marking the commencement of activities for the 33rd Convocation Ceremony.
He stated that his administration operates beyond an open door policy, describing it as a no door policy that guarantees transparency, accessibility and equity in leadership across all segments of the University Community.
According to him, discrimination has no place in his administration, stressing that all members of the University are regarded as stakeholders in governance. He acknowledged the continuous prayers and support of the Muslim faithful, noting that spiritual backing remains vital to peace, unity and institutional progress.
The Vice Chancellor assured the congregation of Management’s sustained commitment to harmony and peaceful coexistence on campus, emphasising that the welfare of staff and students remains a priority under his leadership.

He further called for collective cooperation among staff and students, urging the University Community to work together to sustain FUNAAB’s position as a leading institution in Nigeria.
In his welcome address, the Naibul Amir of the FUNAAB Muslim Community, Prof Adesina Agboola, commended the Vice Chancellor for his inclusive and people focused leadership, attributing the prevailing peace and stability on campus to his administrative approach.
The Jumat Service ended with special prayers for the Vice Chancellor, University Management, staff and students, as well as prayers for the continued peace, growth and development of the University, including the suspension Dua led by the University Imam, Prof Idris Ayinde.
A highlight of the event was the presentation of the University’s financial support towards the ongoing construction of the Mosque, alongside a personal donation by the Vice Chancellor.

Activities for the 33rd Convocation Ceremony are scheduled to continue with an interdenominational service on Sunday, 25 January 2026, at the Chapel of Grace, FUNAAB.
