Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abayomi Fasina, disclosed this on Monday during a pre-convocation press conference at the University’s Council Chambers, ahead of the main convocation ceremony scheduled for Saturday, February 7, 2026.
Graduating Class Breakdown:
- First Class: 131
- Second Class Upper: 2,519
- Second Class Lower: 3,777
- Third Class: 966
- Pass Degree: 3
Professor Fasina highlighted the university’s transformation over the past five years, emphasizing the successful implementation of his 20-point agenda. Notable achievements include:

- A 310% increase in Internally Generated Revenue (IGR)
- Expansion of faculties from 8 to 18
- Growth in academic programmes from 73 to 91, all fully or interim accredited
- FUOYE emerging as the fourth most subscribed university in Nigeria
- Strong performances in global rankings, including the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, World University Rankings by Subject, and Sub-Saharan Africa Rankings
He further revealed that over 160 infrastructural projects were executed, alongside significant investments in digital transformation, research grants, staff development, and student welfare, all contributing to FUOYE’s growing national and international relevance.
Professor Fasina expressed confidence that the University’s Strategic Plan 2026–2030 would consolidate existing gains and drive sustainable growth, urging stakeholders to continue supporting FUOYE’s pursuit of academic excellence and institutional stability.
