The Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), has emerged as the 11th best university in Nigeria, according to the latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings. This marks an improvement from the 2025 rating, where FUOYE placed 12th among Nigerian universities.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina, attributed this achievement to the university's commitment to strategic planning, quality research, and innovation-driven development. He emphasized the institution's dedication to academic excellence and its vision to become one of Africa's top-tier universities.

The university management expressed its confidence in the leadership of Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba (SAN), and the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Fasina. They praised Senator Ndoma-Egba's leadership, stating that it has inspired stability, growth, and academic excellence within the institution.
