FUOYE-YABATECH External Degree Affiliation Program Admission Opens for 2024/2025 Academic Session

Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has announced the commencement of admissions for its External Degree Affiliation Program in collaboration with Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) for the 2024/2025 academic session. This program aims to provide opportunities for Higher National Diploma (HND) Degree holders from polytechnics and graduates with Third Class or Pass Division from Nigerian universities to further their education.

The External Degree Affiliation Program offers Bachelor Degree programs in various fields including Agriculture, Engineering, Sciences, Management Sciences, and Social Sciences. These programs are designed to equip students with practical understanding and contemporary knowledge in their respective fields, globally.

Applicants are required to meet certain admission requirements, including possessing a minimum of five O’Level credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, and holding a Third Class or Pass Division or HND certificate from a recognized institution. Completion or exemption from the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Scheme is also necessary.

The objectives of the program include facilitating the conversion from HND to University Degree Certification, upgrading the quality of University Degrees, opening up postgraduate study options, and enhancing career progression or career change opportunities.

The duration of the program varies depending on the faculty, with six semesters (three academic sessions) for the Faculties of Agriculture and Engineering, and four semesters (two academic sessions) for the Faculties of Management Sciences, Science, and Social Sciences. Lectures will take place on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) to accommodate working professionals.
