FUT Minna VC Highlights Food Security as Key to Addressing National Insecurity

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUT Minna), Professor Faruk Adamu Kuta, has emphasized the importance of achieving food security in addressing Nigeria's security challenges. He made this assertion during a courtesy visit from the Precision Field Academy (PFA) ahead of the Precision Agriculture Incubation Programme (PAIP) Cohort 3.0.

Professor Kuta reaffirmed FUT Minna's commitment to the PAIP initiative, which aims to groom the younger generation, boost agricultural productivity, and contribute to national food security. He commended the Managing Director of PFA, Mr. Femi Adekoya, for his vision, describing the program as laudable and aligning with the university's mandate as a specialized institution of technology .

FUT Minna has previously demonstrated its commitment to food security by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Cereals Research Institute (NCRI) to establish cooperative relations in research, teaching, capacity-building programs, and technology generation/dissemination .
