FUTA to Hold 173rd Inaugural Lecture on Environmental Quality Monitoring

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) is set to host its 173rd inaugural lecture, titled "Environmental Quality Monitoring: Act Taken Beyond Rhetoric." The lecture will be delivered by Professor Ademola Festus Aiyesanmi, a distinguished Professor of Environmental Chemistry, on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at the Obafemi Awolowo Auditorium on the university campus. The event will begin at 3:00 p.m. prompt, with guests expected to be seated by 2:45 p.m.

Professor Aiyesanmi, who holds multiple academic qualifications including a Ph.D. from FUTA and certifications from Delft University, will discuss the critical issue of environmental quality monitoring and its real-world implications beyond theoretical discourse.

The Vice-Chancellor of FUTA, Professor Adenike Temidayo Oladiji, FAS, will serve as the chairman of the event, and the Registrar, Mr. C.O. Adeleye, has called on members of the university community and the general public to attend the lecture.
