FUTA to Host Nigeria Quantum Science and Technology Roadshow in Collaboration with ICTP and Newcastle University

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), in collaboration with the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) and Newcastle University, is set to host the Nigeria Quantum Science and Technology Roadshow. This event, organized under the Physics without Frontiers (PWF) program, will take place from November 11 to 12, 2024, at Laboratory 2B, Department of Physics, FUTA.

Running from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day, the roadshow will offer in-depth discussions and hands-on activities covering key topics in quantum science and technology. Attendees will gain insights into cutting-edge developments in the field, participate in quantum numerical/cloud experiments, and explore career opportunities within the growing quantum industry.

Facilitators for the event include Dr. Obinna Abah, a NUAct Fellow at Newcastle University, UK, and Mr. Obinna Uzoh from Simon Fraser University, British Columbia, Canada. Their expertise will guide participants through the latest advances and applications in quantum technology.
