FUTA’s Prof. Adegoke Melodi Conferred Fellowship of Nigerian Society of Engineers

Professor Adegoke Melodi, Dean of the School of Electrical Systems Engineering (SESE) at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), has been conferred with the prestigious Fellowship of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE).

Professor Adegoke Melodi, Dean of the School of Electrical Systems Engineering (SESE) at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), has been conferred with the prestigious Fellowship of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE).

The investiture ceremony took place on Monday, 1st December 2025, during the 2025 International Engineering Conference, Exhibition, and AGM of the NSE at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan.

In an official communication, Engineer Abubakar Halilu Mu’azu, FNSE, Executive Secretary of NSE, informed Professor Melodi that the Council of the Nigerian Society of Engineers approved his election as a Fellow at its September 11, 2025 meeting, effective from the date of conferment. Professor Melodi may now officially use the appellation “FNSE” after his name.

Congratulating the distinguished academic, FUTA Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adenike, described the fellowship as a well-deserved recognition of Professor Melodi’s extensive experience and contributions as an electrical engineer and scholar. She highlighted his value not only to FUTA but also to Nigeria and the global engineering community, noting his significant academic and professional achievements both locally and abroad.
