FUTES-IYIN Management Strengthens Capacity, Strategic Partnerships and Stakeholder Relations

The management of the Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti, FUTES-IYIN, on Monday engaged in a series of activities aimed at strengthening institutional capacity, strategic partnerships, and stakeholder relations.

Firstly, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Gbenga Aribisala, attended the closing ceremony of the recently concluded capacity-building training for all security personnel of the University, where he presented certificates of participation to the beneficiaries. He charged them to remain disciplined, professional, vigilant, and committed to protecting lives and property, stressing that a secure environment remains fundamental to the University's vision of academic excellence.

Immediately after the certificate presentation, the Vice-Chancellor, alongside members of the management team, paid a courtesy visit to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Resident Electoral Commissioner in Ekiti State, Dr. Bunmi Omoseyindemi, at the Commission's headquarters in Ado-Ekiti.

The engagement centred on familiarisation and the exploration of strategic areas of collaboration between both institutions, particularly in civic education, voter enlightenment, democratic governance, and students' engagement on electoral matters.

Wrapping up the series of engagements, the University management received the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Ekiti State Chapter, on a courtesy visit at the University.

According to the CAN delegation, led by the State Chairman, Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Aribasoye, the visit was to felicitate the Vice-Chancellor, who is one of their members, explore areas of collaboration with the University, and offer prayers for the institution. The Chairman described FUTES-IYIN as a rare blessing to Ekiti State and a significant milestone in the advancement of education and national development.

The CAN Chairman commended the rapid pace of development recorded by the University within a short period, expressing confidence in the leadership of Professor Aribisala and assuring the management of the Association's continued support through prayers, moral encouragement, and mutually beneficial partnerships.

Responding, Professor Aribisala described the CAN visit as timely as the University continues to consolidate its academic, administrative, and infrastructural foundations as a fast-growing institution.

He lauded the leadership of CAN Ekiti State under the chairmanship of Rev. Dr. Aribasoye for its commitment to promoting peace, unity, moral values, and societal development, adding that the University remains open to collaborations that align with its vision of producing globally competitive graduates while contributing meaningfully to national development.

Also receiving the CAN delegation and accompanying the Vice-Chancellor to the INEC office were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olumide Ogundipe; the Registrar, Mr. Oluwole Dada; the Bursar, Mrs. Ajayi Adeniyi Rachael; and the University Librarian, Professor Isaac Oluwadare Busayo. Professor Amen Jegede, the University Prayer Committee Chairman, also joined to receive the CAN delegation.
