The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti, Gbenga Aribisala, has commended the smooth and orderly commencement of the institution’s first semester examinations, describing the process as a reflection of effective planning and institutional discipline.

The examinations, which began on Monday, are being conducted across faculties and departments for the university’s pioneer students.

Aribisala made the remarks during an inspection tour of examination halls at the university’s take-off site, where he assessed compliance with academic guidelines and overall coordination of the exercise. He expressed satisfaction with the level of preparedness displayed by both staff and students.

He noted that the calm and structured environment observed across examination centres reflects the institution’s commitment to academic integrity and operational efficiency.

The Vice-Chancellor also commended academic and non-academic staff involved in the supervision and conduct of the examinations, describing their performance as professional and disciplined.

During the inspection, he also visited the university’s Medical Centre, where he reviewed its readiness to handle potential health-related emergencies throughout the examination period. He praised the medical team for its preparedness, describing student welfare as a central priority of the institution’s management.

Aribisala reaffirmed the university’s commitment to maintaining a secure and conducive environment for examinations, noting that the inspection exercise forms part of broader efforts to ensure a credible and well-coordinated academic process as the institution continues to consolidate its foundational systems.
