FUTMINNA Undergoes Assessment for New Academic Programmes

The Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) has welcomed assessment teams from the National Universities Commission (NUC), Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria (QRSBN), and Nigerian Institute of Animal Scientists (NIAS).

The evaluation aims to determine the readiness of six newly introduced academic programmes.

 

A courtesy visit took place on Monday, February 10, 2025, at the Academic Publishing Centre (APC), Main Campus. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta emphasized the importance of peer reviews in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. He noted that the evaluation will enhance the university's academic offerings.

 

The assessment covers the following programmes under the School of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology (SAAT):

- B.Tech. Crop Science

- B.Tech. Soil Science and Land Management

- B.Tech. Agricultural Economics

- B.Tech. Agricultural Extension

Additionally, QRSBN will evaluate B.Tech. Quantity Surveying, while NIAS will assess B.Tech. Animal Production.

 

The accreditation process ensures that these new programmes meet academic and industry standards, supporting FUTMINNA's efforts to strengthen its academic programmes .
