Galtima Mai Kyari College of Health Science & Technology Nguru Defends 2026 Budget, Presents 2025 Performance to Yobe State House of Assembly

The Provost of Galtima Mai Kyari College of Health Science and Technology, Nguru, Dr. Garba Ibrahim Turjiman, MBBS, FWACS, successfully defended the institution’s 2026 fiscal year budget and presented a comprehensive performance report for the 2025 fiscal year before the Yobe State House of Assembly on 25 November 2025.

The budget defence session was chaired by the Chairman of the House Standing Committee on Health, Hon. Kachallah Ajiya Maina — Member representing Machina Constituency — and attended by the Honorable Commissioner for Health, Yobe State, Dr. Muhammad Lawan Gana, alongside senior officials of the Ministry of Health.

In his presentation, Dr. Turjiman highlighted key 2025 achievements, including the strengthening of academic standards, upgrading of institutional health facilities, expansion of community health outreach programmes across Yobe State, and enhanced capacity‑building initiatives for staff and students — all aimed at improving the quality of health education and service delivery.

The proposed 2026 budget is intended to consolidate these gains and further advance medical training and health‑sector development in the state.
