German Consul General To Partnership with FUNAAB to Enhance Food Production

The German Consul General to Nigeria, Mr. Weert Borner, has expressed interest in potential collaborations with the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), aimed at advancing agricultural innovations to support sustainable food production in Nigeria.
During his visit to the university alongside his wife, Dr. Imke Borner, Mr. Borner emphasized the critical importance of addressing food security, education, housing, and climate change on a global scale. He highlighted the potential for significant advancements in agricultural output through the enhancement of fertilizer production with renewable energy sources and the adoption of innovative approaches.

In response, the Vice-Chancellor of FUNAAB, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, conveyed appreciation for the Consul General's visit, viewing it as a testament to the enduring partnership between Germany and FUNAAB.
