UNILORIN VC Condoles with Dr. Akanmu on Loss of Father

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, has extended his condolences to Dr. Alex Morenikeji Akanmu, Dean of Student Affairs and Chairman of the University's ASUU chapter, on the passing of his father, Pa James Adeniyi Akanmu.

Pa Akanmu, a prominent community leader in Ejigbo, Osun State, passed away on April 16, 2025, at the age of 80. Prof. Egbewole described the late Chief Akanmu as a passionate community builder, committed family man, and indispensable rallying point for community development activities.

The Vice Chancellor urged Dr. Akanmu and his family to take solace in the fact that their father led a fulfilled life and prayed for the peaceful repose of Pa Akanmu's soul. He also wished the Akanmu family the fortitude to bear the loss.
