During his visit to the university, Mr. Borner, accompanied by his wife, Dr. Imke Borner, highlighted the critical importance of addressing food security, education, and housing, as well as the urgent need to tackle climate change on a global scale.
Mr. Borner underscored the significance of enhancing fertilizer production using renewable energy sources, envisioning substantial progress in agricultural output through innovative approaches.
In response, the Vice-Chancellor of FUNAAB, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, expressed gratitude for the visit, emphasizing the enduring partnership between Germany and FUNAAB. He reaffirmed the university's commitment to fostering collaboration through initiatives such as faculty exchanges, joint research endeavors, and the integration of modern agricultural technologies into the curriculum.
