On August 22, 2024, GIAL College of Health Technology and Environmental Sciences, Katsina, received a significant recognition from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). This approval grants the institution the authority to issue National Diplomas (ND) and ensures that its Higher National Diploma (HND) students can now participate in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program after graduation.

The college, under the leadership of Hon. Hamisu Gambo (Dan-Lawan Katsina), has become the first private institution of its kind in Katsina State to receive such approval.
