In a display of eloquence and intellectual prowess, twelve outstanding students emerged as the best speakers in the Inter-Faculty Debates at Godfrey Okoye University in Enugu. The competition, which saw participants from diverse academic disciplines, showcased the university's commitment to holistic education.
Among the distinguished speakers, Eze Chinonye Sonia stood out from the Faculty of Arts, while Aguigwe Gerald, Chisom Michael Ozor, and Kingsley Ochor shone brightly representing the College of Medicine. Notably, Chinecherem Ebenyi and Uwakwe Ezihe Hephzibah excelled in the Faculty of Law, demonstrating their exceptional oratory skills.
The Faculty of Natural Sciences and Environmental Studies emerged victorious with a score of 344 points, defeating the Faculty of Education, which garnered 327 points. Similarly, the Faculty of Law triumphed over the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences with 336 points, leaving the latter with 326 points.

Addressing the significance of the competition, Professor Gozie Ogbodo, the Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration, emphasized its role in sharpening students' public speaking skills and enhancing their overall cognitive abilities. Deputy Provost of the College of Medicine, Professor Mirriam Unachukwu, highlighted the importance of such events in grooming students for external competitions, expressing pride in the College's three top speakers.
