Gombe State University Holds 14th Inaugural Lecture

Gombe State University successfully conducted its 14th Inaugural Lecture on January 28, 2025, featuring Professor Iliya Jalo's thought-provoking presentation on "The Dilemma of a Neonatologist in a Low-Resource Setting: Using Improved Technologies to Enhance Newborn Survival."

 

The event, which was well-attended by members of the university community, including Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Danladi Umar and other principal officers, highlighted the significance of inaugural lectures in promoting knowledge advancement and policy formulation.

 

Professor Gurama Muhammad Dukku, Chairman of the University Ceremonies Committee, emphasized the importance of these lectures as a platform for scholars to share their research and professional experiences .

Professor Iliya Jalo's lecture focused on the challenges faced by neonatologists in low-resource settings and innovative technological approaches to improving newborn survival rates.
