Governor Bago Mourns the Passing of Ahman-Pategi University Founder, Alhaji Aliyu Bahago Ahman-Pategi
Governor Umaru Bago of Niger State pays tribute to late Alhaji Aliyu Bahago Ahman Pategi, honoring his contributions to education and national service.
Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago, has expressed his condolences to the Emir of Patigi, Alhaji Ibrahim Umar Bologi II, and the family of the late Alhaji Aliyu Bahago Ahman Pategi, former Member of the House of Representatives for Edumoro/Patigi Federal Constituency. The Galadiman Patigi, a prominent figure in national development and the founder of Ahman-Pategi University, passed away recently, leaving a legacy of impactful contributions to both the political and educational spheres.
During a condolence visit, Governor Bago urged the family to take comfort in the will of Allah, who gives and takes life. He lauded Ahman Patigi’s dignity and his pivotal role in nation-building, highlighting his service in the National Assembly from 2007 to 2019. The Governor also acknowledged Patigi's dedication to advancing education through the establishment of Ahman-Pategi University, which has become a valuable institution in the region.
Governor Bago prayed for Allah’s forgiveness for the deceased’s shortcomings and hoped for his peaceful entry into Aljannah Firdaus. He also extended prayers for strength and comfort to the grieving family and the Patigi Emirate Council. Alhaji Aliyu Ahman Bahago is remembered as a three-term representative and a close relative of Kwara State's Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Mu'azu Hamidu Jantabo.
