Governor Mbah Launches Construction of Centre for Experiential Learning in Enugu

Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has inaugurated the construction of the Centre for Experiential Learning and Innovation at Enugu State College of Education Technical (ESCET). The centre will train educators for smart schools and feature advanced facilities including model classrooms and a digital innovation studio.

Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, has officially launched the construction of the Centre for Experiential Learning and Innovation at the Enugu State College of Education Technical (ESCET). The facility will serve as a training hub for educators involved with smart green schools, smart senior secondary schools, and smart vocational schools across the state.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony on Friday, Dr. Mbah highlighted the project's significance as a pioneering initiative in Nigeria. Represented by the Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ndubueze Mbah, the governor described the centre as a realization of an ambitious vision. The facility will also train directors of experiential learning for deployment to various smart green schools within Enugu and beyond.

Dr. Mbah expressed gratitude to the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) for its financial support and outlined that the centre will feature 25 model classrooms, an e-library, an ICT hub, and the Tomorrow Is Here Digital Innovation Studio. The studio will focus on teaching Mechatronics, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and other advanced technological courses.

ESCET Provost, Dr. Stella Ekwueme, praised Dr. Mbah for his dedication to improving education and welcomed the choice of ESCET as the site for this cutting-edge project. The centre is expected to be completed within six months.
