On Saturday, 17th February 2024, Gregory University, Uturu, Abia State, reverberated with excitement and promise as it hosted its 12th Matriculation Ceremony. The event welcomed 304 scholars into its undergraduate program and 16 postgraduate scholars across its 13 colleges, marking a significant moment in the academic journey of these budding intellectuals.

In his address, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Augustine Uwakwe, reiterated the institution's unwavering commitment to excellence in character and learning. Prof. Uwakwe urged the newly admitted scholars to uphold the core values of the university while actively engaging in their academic pursuits and extracurricular activities. Emphasizing the importance of shunning vices such as cultism, gambling, drugs, and substance abuse, he underscored the pivotal role of discipline in shaping future leaders.
