In a proactive stride towards bolstering security measures and fostering collaboration, Gregory University, Uturu, has paid a courtesy visit to the Abia State Police Command. Led by a delegation comprising key management members, the visit aimed to enhance cooperation in ensuring a secure environment within the university and its surrounding community.

The delegation, representing Gregory University, Uturu, was warmly received by the Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Kenechukwu Onwuemelie, alongside his deputies. The delegation included Hon. Boniface Ikwuagwu, Chief Eze Ibeajah, Prof. Augustine Uwakwe, Prof. Evaristus Anyaehie, Prof. Uwaoma Uche, Mr. Vincent Maliki, Hon. Christian Ofondu, Ms. Ebubechi Iwuh, and Rev. Canon Samuel Ekechukwu.

During the interaction, the Vice-Chancellor of Gregory University, Uturu, commended the proactive steps taken by the police commissioner in ensuring security within the state. He expressed the university's readiness to collaborate closely with the police command to further enhance security measures, particularly within the university's vicinity.

In response, CP Kenechukwu Onwuemelie attributed the visible strides in security to divine intervention and acknowledged the support received from the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti. He highlighted the governor's commitment to prioritizing security and ensuring the welfare of the police command, expressing gratitude for the ongoing support. The Commissioner assured the university delegation of continued support from the police command in maintaining a secure environment.
