GSU Management Commends MSSN for Exemplary Conduct; Moves to Address Hostel Power Challenges

In a strategic move to enhance student welfare and foster institutional harmony, the leadership of the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Gombe State University (GSU) Branch, paid a formal courtesy visit to the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor on Tuesday, 7th April 2026.

The engagement focused on critical issues affecting the Muslim student body, including academic welfare, religious infrastructure, and campus inclusivity.

A primary concern raised by the MSSN delegation was the persistent lack of electricity in the male hostels. Responding to this, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor assured the students that the university management is prioritized on resolving the energy crisis. He revealed that the administration is currently evaluating the installation of solar power systems to provide a sustainable and immediate solution to the power challenges in the hostels.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor lauded the MSSN for its consistent adherence to university regulations and its track record of financial transparency. He noted that the Society remains a model of disciplined conduct on campus, free from reports of misconduct or mismanagement.
