Guiness World Record Olusa gets support from a Federal University of Technology Akure, FUTA team sent by the Vice Chancellor.

The Vice Chancellor Professor Adenike Oladiji led a team from the Federal University of Technology Akure, FUTA to show solidarity to an alumnus, Christopher Olusa, in the course of his attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest Speech Marathon by an individual. The Vice Chancellor was accompanied to the venue by the Deputy Vice Chancellor , Academic , Professor Taiwo Amos , Deputy Vice Chancellor , Development Professor Sunday Oluyamo , Registrar Mr. Charles Adeleye , a former President FUTA Alumni Worldwide , Comrade Olaitan Adesomoju ,Director Corporate Communication and Protocol , Mr. Adegbenro Adebanjo ,and Assistant Director Communication , Mrs. Ulomah Iremiren.

Olusa commenced his quest for a place in the Guinness World Record on Monday September 11, 2023 and with the terminal point set for Friday September 15, 2023.

He has titled his quest “From Words to World Records," and he would be attempting to better the record of 90 hours and 2 minutes set by Ananta Ram in Kathmandu, Nepal from 27 to 31 August 2018.

Officials of the GWR have already endorsed his attempt through an email accepting his application for the endeavor.

Christopher Olusa graduated from the Department of Food Science and Technology in 2019.
