Hajj Institute of Nigeria seeks ABU’s support for curriculum development
The Hajj Institute of Nigeria is seeking the support of Ahmadu Bello University through collaboration to develop the curriculum of the newly established school, Interim Rector of the Institute, Prof. Muhammad Nasiru Maiturare, has disclosed.

Speaking when he led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, in Zaria on Monday, 26th February, 2024, Prof. Maiturare explained that the Institute was established to improve hajj operations in Nigeria.
The Interim Rector also told the Vice-Chancellor that they were in ABU for a discussion on a number of academic areas, particularly curriculum development, with the relevant academic units of the University in order to seek approval of the National Universities Commission (NUC).
Responding, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, said that it was heartwarming to now have an Institute in the country that will greatly assist in the management of hajj operations.

Prof. Bala, who thanked the Rector and members of his team for coming to ABU for partnership, stressed that the establishment of the institute would make Nigeria to become a model globally in terms of hajj operations.
The Director, Institute of Administration, Prof. Suraj Abdulkarim; Director, ABU Distance Learning Centre, Prof. M.I. Sule; Director, Centre for Islamic Legal Studies (CILS), Dr. Sa’ad Musa Abubakar; Coordinator, Hajj Institute of Nigeria, Dr. Aliyu Tanko; and Secretary, ABU Distance Learning Centre, Hajiya Aisha Baballe, accompanied the Rector on the visit to the Vice-Chancellor.
