Kabiru Getso Haruna, the Kano State Scholarships Board has achieved significant milestones, reflecting a steadfast commitment to supporting higher education and student welfare. Since assuming office, Haruna has overseen a series of notable accomplishments that underscore his dedication to advancing educational opportunities for Kano State students.

Haruna has successfully facilitated 1,001 postgraduate (Master’s Degree) scholarships for Kano State students to study abroad. This initiative includes placements in prestigious institutions in India and Uganda, providing invaluable opportunities for advanced academic and professional development.

The Board has covered registration fees for level 300 bilingual students, ensuring continued access to specialized educational programs and supporting the growth of multilingual capabilities among students.

 Registration fees have been paid for junior Kwankwasiyya scholars studying at Zinder University, Niger Republic. This support reaffirms the Board’s commitment to students’ educational advancement beyond Nigeria’s borders.

 A significant allocation of N526,000 has been provided for the registration fees and bursary allowances of law students admitted to six campuses of the Nigerian Law School for the 2023/2024 session. This financial support is aimed at ensuring that students can pursue their legal education without financial hindrances.

 The Board has addressed and cleared outstanding fees owed to five private universities from the previous administration. The institutions include:
