The Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria (HRORBN) has conducted an accreditation visit to McPherson University as part of its resource verification exercise for the institution's Health Information Management programme.

The Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria (HRORBN) has conducted an accreditation visit to McPherson University as part of its resource verification exercise for the institution's Health Information Management programme.

The Board, which regulates the education, training, registration, licensing and professional practice of Health Information Management practitioners in Nigeria, also ensures that institutions offering the programme meet the required standards in staffing, infrastructure, equipment, curriculum and other essential resources.

The accreditation team was received on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kenneth Nwoko, who reaffirmed the university's commitment to academic excellence.

Professor Nwoko assured the team that McPherson University remains open to constructive recommendations that will strengthen its academic programmes and further improve the quality of education offered by the institution.

The resource verification team was led by Dr. Anthony Ike Wegbom and included:

During the exercise, the team inspected the university's human and material resources to determine compliance with the Board's accreditation requirements for the Health Information Management programme.

The accreditation exercise involved a comprehensive assessment of the programme's facilities, academic resources, staffing, equipment and other requirements to evaluate the university's capacity to continue delivering quality professional training.

The visit also enabled the team to verify the institution's compliance with the standards prescribed by the Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria for the accreditation of Health Information Management programmes.
