ICAN Seeks Partnership With UNIDEL
The lnstitute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Asaba District has appealed to the Management of University of Delta Agbor to grant them the permission to have a partnership that would be of mutual benefits to both the staff and students.

The chairman of the district,Mrs Mary Aganoke, made the appeal on Wednesday,31st January,2024, when she led her team on a courtesy call .
Mrs Aganoke said ICAN was a founding and prominent member of the lnternational Federation of Accountants ,IFAC,the body that regulates the accountancy profession worldwide.
She stated that the mission of lCAN is to produce world- class chartered accountants, regulate and continually enhance their ethical standards and technical competence in the public interest.
"Every organization needs the services of accountants. We are here to create awareness and sensitization on the value and impacts of the profession in every sector. "
Continuing, Mrs Aganoke said students from three hundred levels and above would register for the examination, which comes up in March 2024. She assured the University Management that the students' involvement in writing the ICAN examination will not affect their academic activities but enhance their knowledge.
Responding, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Delta Agbor, Prof Stella Chiemeke, thanked the body for the visit and said that the management would encourage the students to key into the ICAN mission statement. She added that the Dean of Management Science, Dr Ugbah, will work in collaboration with the body to achieve set goals.

The ICAN delegation had Mr Martins Obiefuna, Mr Akiri Oghenerobome Mr. Dede Sarah, Mrs Enechazian Winfred,Mrs Oghoro Emmesiri and Mr Agbagbara Ese.
